Addendum 1, 1988-2022
Scope and Contents
Addendum received in 2022 includes typescript drafts and page proofs including prelimary drafts for Accepting the Lance (2019) under various working titles, including "Fifth of Five" and "The Bold Course". Some early drafts were titled with character names, plot points, or other narrative threads. Lee and Miller used the working title "Fifth of Five," as the work was originally intended to be 5th book of a five-book contract. "Fifth of Five" was later re-worked into three works; two novels Accepting the Lance (2019) and Trader's Leap (2020), and a chapbook "The Wrong Lance" (2020) containing narrative points not utilized in the canon novel.
