Shortly after the first class graduated in 1900, Northern's alumnae established a formal association. Material in this record group includes minutes, financial records, correspondence files, and alumni publications. In addition, these records document several of the Association's projects. Alumni publications are added regularly to the collection. A subject index, to articles dating from the 1930's thru the 1990's that are found in the alumni newsletters, is located within the Archives "Publication Index".

Scope and Contents
The Alumni Association records date from the first alumnae meeting to the present and document not only the history of the association, but also the expansion and development of the university. Club and chapter records indicate the geographical location of alumnae and the diverse programs and projects undertaken by the organization.
