The main portion of the collection is a partial set of minute books (1878-1955) relating how farmers gathered to discuss improved crop-raising and marketing techniques. Scope and Contents Laura Cooper’s diaries, located in box one, date from 1892 to 1893, 1938 to 1942, 1944 to 1948, and 1954 to 1965. Scope and Contents The LeRoy Community Grange records date from 1933 to 2000 and include secretary’s books, a treasurer’s account book, cash/day books, and dues account books. A complete run of meeting minutes from January 20, 1939 to December 5, 1941 and January 28, 1944 to December 11, 1993 comprise a majority of the records. The Maple Grove Grange Collection dates from 1872 to 1982 with the majority of the collection consisting of meeting minutes. The remainder of the collection includes a rollbook, manuals and songbooks, a group photograph of the grange, and a constitution and by-laws for the Winnebago County Grange.

The records from the Marengo Grange No. 1922 include a complete set of monthly meeting minutes (1951-1979) describing local farmers efforts to serve the community and improve their agricultural conditions.  In addition to the local grange records the collection also contains journals of proceedings, programs, and rosters (1950-1980) belonging to the Illinois State and National Grange organizations.

Scope and Contents The collection primary comprises monthly meeting minutes of the McHenry County Pomona Grange from its organization in 1952 to 1977. Included in the minutes are reports from the six subordinate Granges in the county-Alden-Hebron, Harvard, Marengo, Ridgefield, Riley, and Seneca.
