INTRODUCTION
At present the series contains only one interview. Other oral history interviews may be added at a later date. This interview was conducted by Pam Lothson while doing research on the DeKalb Classroom Teacher’s Strike of 1971 for her History 471 class, “Workers in U.S. History, 1787 - Present,” taught by Dr. Rosemary Feurer. The paper she wrote is also included here.

Pasteris taught in DeKalb from 1959 to 1989. Beginning in 1961 he became involved with the DeKalb Classroom Teacher’s Association (DCTA) and eventually held several leadership roles. At the time of the teacher’s strike in 1971, he was president elect of the organization. Also included is some biographical information on his family and education.
