Scope and Contents
The materials in this collection document the history of the Ohio Grove Grange #1842 from 1928 to 1967, with some scattered materials from the 1970's and 1980's. Minutes from the 1930's through the 1950's make up the first part of the collection, detailing projects, fundraisers, activities, officer elections and social affairs. Dues Account books and a Roll Book span the years 1928-1967 and provide information about Grange members. Juvenile Grange meeting minutes from 1945-1947 provide information on young peoples’ activities. Songbooks and materials from the Illinois State and National Grange, some of which mention Northern Illinois Granges, give researchers a broad background on Granges and their activities.

Biographical or Historical Information
The Ohio Grove Grange #1842, DeKalb County, was founded in 1928 with fifteen charter members. Meetings were usually held in their own Grange Hall. Civic programs and social activities were the major focus of the Grange.
