Biographical or Historical Information
Ted lives in the Pacific Northwest and has always had a passion for writing. He studied at Indiana University, but dropped out before graduating. Over the next few years he held many different jobs and he eventually found good steady work at the Indiana steel mill. While there, he was able to use the Union’s tuition reimbursement program to complete a degree. He had never stopped writing, even though he had been rejected frequently by publishers, and his tenacity paid off. Ted’s short stories and novellas have been reprinted in eight Year’s Best anthologies, translated into seven languages, and have been performed in Indiana and New York. He’s been nominated for both the Nebula Award & the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award. He is also the co-winner of the 2010 Asimov’s Readers’ Choice Award.
