World War II Scrapbook
Scope and Contents
Scrapbook containing family photographs as well as newspaper articles from local newspapers in Lee and Winnebego counties, 1941-1945. Created by Neva Becker. Her husband, Clarence Becker, was in the Army during WWII in the 129th Infantry, Company A, 33rd Division (Camp Forrest, TN). Clippings are from the following newspapers are contained within: Rockford Morning Star, Dixon Telegram, Rochelle Leader, and Ashton Gazettee. Electronic files of scanned scrapbook pages. These scans have been put on a CD to serve as an access copy for researchers.
