Scope and Contents

The Alex Bledsoe papers consists of printed (paper-based) drafts, manuscripts, galley proofs, correspondences, notes, page proofs, a writing contest entry, award certificates, newspapers and publications with Mr. Bledsoe’s work.  The collection is divided into series based upon format. Series I consists of novels, series II consists of correspondence, series III consists of Short stories, and series IV consist of  miscellaneous articles. Series I is organized alphabetically by title.  In series II, III, and IV organization is based on original date of work.

Property Rights are transferred to the University Libraries per the signed Deed of Gift Document. Literary Rights are retained by the content creator.  Any copyrights so stated in the materials remain in force.

Biographical or Historical Information

Alex Bledsoe is a science fiction and fantasy writer best known for his novels that touch upon the genres of sword and scorcery and urban fantasy.  He grew up in west Tennessee and now lives with his wife and two sons in Wisconsin.  His noted series are the "Eddie LaCrosse" novels, the "Rudolf Zginski" novels, and his newest, the "Tufa" novels (published in 2011).  On top of his novels, Alex Bledsoe has also written over fifty short stories.  Some of the odd jobs he's held throughout his life include: a reporter, an editor, a photographer, and a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman.  For more information on Alex Bledsoe and his works, please visit his website at: http://alexbledsoe.com/
