RHC/UA/27. Visual and Performing Arts College

 Record Group Term
Identifier: RHC/UA/27
The College of Visual and Performing Arts grew out of a reorganization of the College of Fine and Applied Arts in 1973.  The Music, Art, and Theatre Arts departments were brought together under the Visual and Performing Arts College, while the Human and Family Resources and Industry and Technology departments became part of the College of Professional Studies (now Health and Human Sciences).  Records in this collection are organized into two subgroups: college records and department records.  College records contain curriculum committee minutes, which are regularly added, and correspondence.  Department records consist of newsletters, pamphlets, and circulars.  Some records in both subgroups pre-date the college's establishment.  Programs from plays, music, and dance recitals are held in a separate, appended series.
