This collection contains records produced by various university-wide committees and is arranged (generally) alphabetically by committee name. There are four series found here. The first contains records from a broad spectrum of committees. The University Council records are located in the second series and includes those committees that report to the Council, and a subseries contains subject files from the Executive Secretary to the Council. Series three contains Faculty Senate meeting minutes, and series four records from Presidential Commissions. These Commissions deal with the Status of Women, the Status of Minorities, Persons with Disabilities, and last with Sexual Orientation. Most of the records in this group are minutes and reports.

Scope and Contents
The Boards Councils and Committees Records consist of files generated by university wide groups and include everything from an ad hoc task force report to long runs of minutes from committees central to the university's academic mission.
