Scope and Contents
The Sarah Monette Papers consists of printed (paper-based) and handwritten manuscripts for poems, short stories, novels, and a small amount of correspondence related to those materials. In addition, the collection contains a limited number of items (handmade books, school publications) from the author’s childhood, and a variety of maps drawn by Ms. Monette. The collection is divided into series based upon format. Series I consists of Novels, Series II consists of Short Stories, Series III contains Poetry, Series IV general correspondence, Series V includes miscellaneous, and Series VI is electronic media in the form of CD-ROMs and floppy disks. The majority of materials are organized within their series based upon original date of publication.
