BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH William R. Hazard was born on May 18, 1929 in Mason County, Illinois. He received his B.S. from Illinois State University in 1950, M.S. from Illinois State University in 1951 and his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College in 1958. He was an instructor at Lyons Township High school and Junior College and had a private law practice in LaGrange, Illinois. He came to NIU in September 1963 as an Assistant Professor of Art.
