Scope and Contents
The Carol Emshwiller Papers consists of printed (paper-based) and handwritten manuscripts, along with a small amount of correspondence associated to those materials. The collection is divided into series based upon format. Series I consists of novels; Series II includes short stories; Series III correspondence; Series IV consists of miscellaneous; and Series V contains digital content in the form of a (USB) thumb drive. The majority of materials are organized within their series based upon original date of publication.
Addendum 2 contains materials received following the author's passing in 2019. The bulk consists of typecripts for short fiction and novels. A small portion of correspondence from editors/publishers and ephemera from public appearances can also be found in Addendum 2.
