Scope and Contents

Items include manuscripts, notes, and other materials pertaining to Gathorne-Hardy's research of Jeremy Taylor writings and life history. The manuscript of the 1973 publication of the Jeremy Taylor bibliography by Gathorne-Hardy and William Proctor Williams contain typed pages pasted to foolscap size lined paper. Original letters by Taylor and artwork depicting Taylor were collected by Gathorne-Hardy in the early 1920s when his interest in Tayloriana was first fomented by his mentor Logan Pearsall Smith.
