Scope and Contents
The Merrie Haskell papers contain printed and handwritten (paper-based) documents that consist of novels, short fiction, notes, materials from workshops/conventions, as well as oversized items, such as collages based on her novels. Her papers also contain digital media in the form of CD-ROMs. The papers are divided into series based upon format. Materials from her three novels, The Princess Curse, Handbook for Dragon Slayers, and The Castle Behind Thorns, make up Series I: Novels. Series II contains her Short Fiction, while Series III consists of Notes pertaining to upcoming books, writing young adult fiction, and planners. Series IV are mateials from Workshops & Conventions that Merrie has attended or participated in. Series V contains all Digital Media and Series IV is for Oversized material that can be found in SPO Manuscripts in the Rare Books Department.
