Scope and Contents
This collection documents the activities of the Illinois Vocational Association (I.V.A.) and its affiliate division, the Illinois Industrial Education Association (I.I.E.A.) from 1935 to 1973. Records of annual and board of directors’ meetings (1935-1972) contain minutes, correspondence, resolutions, business reports, membership lists, and programs describing both the I.V.A. and the I.I.E.A. Various phases in the history of the I.I.E.A. also are defined in the organization’s correspondence (1948-1972). Supplementary documentation from the American Vocational Association provides information on the national organization’s concerns. Also important to note are publications which relate to the Illinois Vocational Association.
