The records in this collection document many of the activities of the DeKalb-Ogle County Central Labor Council from 1964 to 1982. Types of records include: constitution, by-laws, minutes, correspondence, membership information, newsletters, and newsclips. Financial reports were usually included in meeting minutes. The minutes, although incomplete, provide excellent documentation of the issues important to Council members. Extensive correspondence files and material from the Illinois F of L-CIO (1970-1983) and the AFL-CIO (1971-1982) provide the opportunity to compare local Council concerns with state and national positions.
